October is National Bullying Prevention Month, a time to come together to prevent childhood bullying and promote kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. On Unity Day, we’ll wear and share the color orange to send a powerful and united message: We are committed to creating a kinder, more accepting, and more inclusive world. 2025 Students with Solutions Winner!

May 15, 2025

Amaya S. of Pettit Park Elementary (Illinois), won the artwork category for her warmly colorful poster entitled “Cool to Be Kind.”

Amaya’s pink, yellow, and orange poster was submitted by counselor Ashlee Key, who praised not only Amaya’s contribution but the efforts of all the students to contribute their ideas about speaking up and bullying prevention. The positivity of Amaya’s poster sends the message that there is real hope when people treat each other with kindness. Congratulations!

PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center Unity Awards, first held in 2015, recognize individuals and groups who are helping to prevent bullying and create a kinder, more accepting, and inclusive world. Examples of bullying prevention efforts may include empowering others to take positive action, advocating for those who need support, or sharing acts of kindness that cause a ripple effect in a community. Nominate an individual or group who is making a difference!

Join the Students with Solutions Challenge!

January 15, 2025

K-12 students are invited to join PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center Students with Solutions Challenge. The SWS Challenge is a creative way for adults to engage youth in bullying prevention conversations while they learn how to speak up for themselves and their peers. To participate, students can share creative videos, artwork, and posters to be featured on NBPC websites with a chance to win some awesome prizes!
